Unlike Sims, who age at 6:00 pm (18:00), pets age at 11:00 am. The adult or elder stage can be extended by having the pet eat the Kibble of Life. The length of the elder stage is 6 to 11 days, and is random. The adult stage lasts 26 days for cats and small dogs, and 22 days for large dogs. While they cannot get on beds or furniture, they can be praised for not getting on them, and therefore trained to stay off them. They cannot have jobs or learn commands, but they can learn behaviors. They are mobile, but cannot climb stairs, and must be carried up and down them. In The Sims 2: Pets, kittens and puppies are independent family members with their own needs, though they do not have the Scratch or Chew motives. The mother will watch them, but it is not possible to interact with them. In The Sims: Unleashed, kittens and puppies are objects, and appear as maternity tents topped by a cat face or dog face. However, in The Sims: Unleashed and The Sims 2 Pets for console, adult pets live indefinitely. In The Sims 2: Pets, The Sims 3: Pets and The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs, an adult pet will eventually age to an elder, and will eventually die. Of course it is also best to change only a few settings at a time so you get a better feel of what is happening in game with each change.A pet starts as a kitten, puppy or foal and ages to an adult. I always recommend before changing any settings, to do a save as in game options first, then exit and change your settings and then re-enter the game and test in game. I have this enabled (disabled by default). Inheritance Spouse First: This will enable the spouse of the sim to inherit all the money if still alive before any children. Your active sim is the one receiving the inheritance, these settings are which sim is leaving the inheritance. You can choose inheritance to be left by NPC, played, played and NPC, active or all. You can choose how to distribute this wealth. Inheritance Sim Type: MCCC now enables your sims to inherit money when someone dies. If your sim is short on simoleons, you will get a reminder as normal game play that bills have arrived and are due. Enabling this setting will have the game automatically deduct the bill amount every Monday when the bills arrive as long as their is enough simoleons to do so. This is the same as a residential lot setting with values ranging from -100 to 1000 -100 being no bills and 100 being double bills.Īuto-Pay Bills: One of my absolute favorite settings. This setting can be from -100 to 1000 with -100 being no bills and 100 being double bills.Īgain, I would not jump in and set this at the high end but slowly increase to where you feel comfortable.Īpartment Bills Percent: - The amount to increase or decrease your bills for an apartment. I find this gives a little support without hitting motherlode every Monday (child support is tallied and paid on regular bill days in game).Ĭhange Bills Percent: The amount to increase or decrease your bills in a residential lot. I find this to be a very touchy setting and my setting is on 1 in game. Monies are not transferred to non active households.Ĭhild Support Percent: This refers to the % of the parent sims value to include lot and household inventories and can be set from 1-1000. Again it is worth noting, this ONLY applies to the active household. So if your sim has a child with another sim not in their household, you can set this up so they can receive child support if they are remarried, single or both. Default is for no child support to be paid. You have the option to have everyone pay, married only or unmarried only. Pay Child Support: This setting is applied when there is a child sim only living with one of the parents and for the active household only. These are another group of settings that are pretty self explanatory so we can cover them quickly with just a few comments. We are still learning our way thru the MCCC Settings pie menu Money Settings are next in line.
